Mentor: Mid-year Art Project Evaluation

1. Describe your student's progress with their art project.
2. Is the project on schedule? If not, what adjustments have you agreed upon?
3. How are your meeting(s) going with your student? List the date(s) and location(s) of your meetings thus far.
4. Do you see the need for the student to make changes in their plans? If so, why? Have you communicated your concerns with the student? In writing?
5. How would you evaluate your student's work based on the criteria you agreed upon?
6. Has the student satisfactorily completed the work expected at the mid-point of the year's project? Should s/he receive credit? If not, why?
Note: At the discretion of faculty and mentors, students who do not satisfactorily complete work at the mid-point assessment can be given the opportunity to take a leave of absence until the following fall semester to catch up. If the student has completed the work satisfactorily they may continue with the program. Should the student be given this opportunity?
