Interest:
Narrative/thematic installations. Experience of theme and space through hybrid (use of multiple techniques and materials) 2D representation.
Suspicion of surfaces, the archaeology of experience - of a place, of an object - to uncover layers of meaning, both as a determinant in the artistic process as in
the experience of the viewer. Representational imagery as it shifts towards abstraction: process of drawing and materialization of installation's components.
Design of project, re-interpreting components to be responsive to a specific space and challenging theme's narrative potential and plurality of meanings within
that space. Relationships between disparate elements in a space (mixing high and low tech media and sources of imagery). Transformation of viewer into critical
player. The architecture of a project: the critical significance of transitional or in-between spaces, and ephemeral effects intentionally or casually resulting within
an installation. The readerliness of an installation.
