One of the things I will never regret is that graduating from ELTE University, Budapest with MA’s in Art History and English language and Literature I turned down a beginner’s position in one of Budapest’s leading museums and decided to move to another city and work there in the local theatre for three seasons. There and then started my quest for various experiences I can capitolize on when I teach my students of graphic design in VISART-Maryse-Eloy, Budapest and students of Art History in Mcdaniel College, Budapest. For three years from January 2003 I also worked for the Ludwig Museum in Budapest where I was the editor and translator of many catalogoues, conference and web materials and I had many chances to see and help the transition of an artist’s vision into an exhibition through adapting to space and considering local capacities.
At Mcdaniel College I started three years ago a „reshuffling” of teaching materials and will from September 2006 teach at the newly installed faculty of Art History and Studio Art, Contemporary Art among others. Till then I work on the new curricula and develop the system of application with my colleagues. Last summer I had a June term for students of the University of Calgary with a colleauge of mine at Mcdaniel which we will resume this year, too.
At Visart I do my own curriculum which, due to my students’s special needs, focuses on central subject matters and their histories in art.
