Bio: Linda Pollack is a conceptual artist based in Los Angeles and Amsterdam, whose work is informed by her roles in cultural policy and advocacy work in Europe and in the United States.

Previous works include "The Conference of the Future of the World" at the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem, Netherlands; "German Parliaments" at Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart; "Kunst oder Gesundheit" at Kunstlerhaus Stuttgart, Germany; "The Art of Investment" at the Kunstrai Amsterdam. In 2003 she founded "My Daily Constitution", which sets up interactive public dialogues about the Constitution in cities across the United States (www.mydailyconstitution.org).

She has extensive experience developing and organizing multilateral cultural projects for the European Cultural Foundation of Amsterdam, (www.eurocult.org). From 1993-1995, she developed numerous initiatives to create dialogue in face of war in the former Yugoslavia, working with the Helsinki Monitor, the Sarajevo Theatre Ensemble, free press advocate PRESS NOW, and Macedonian rockers "Leb I Sol". In 1993 she founded the APEXChanges mobility initiative for East European Artists, which facilitated over 900 arts exchanges in its eight year existence. Today, mobility plays an integral role in the Foundation's grant program.

In Los Angeles, she was the Director of the Freedom to Write Program of PEN Center USA West on 9/11. In its aftermath she worked with renowned Pakistani playwright and human rights activist Shahid Nadeem to create events and discussions addressing the world situation. In 2004 she co-founded the Network of Culture and Media, designed to increase dialogue between artists and writers from the Muslim world with their U.S. counterparts (www.cultureandmedia.org.)

Linda Pollack studied art at the Jan van Eyck Academy Maastricht, the Netherlands, and the University of California Los Angeles, and UC San Diego, and holds a degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.
