Interests: I am interested in the interface between painting practice and the screen as the future framing mechanism and painting as animated architectural surfacing integrating image into building structure. http://www.critical-mas.tv/bio_archive.html
Bio: I am currently the Producer/Founder of CRITICAL+MAS.TV, a global membrane for streaming broadband arts content delivery and an EDU-tainment portal enabling university connectivity and promotional fundraising. http://www.critical-mas.tv
Formerly Head of Digital Media at Cornell University, I created a multi-disciplinary media arts program there in 1998-2003 I received a Merit Award for new faculty achievement and an Innovative Teaching Award, one of three for technology integration and curriculum development. I was co-founder of the Faculty of Computing, the only artist and woman on the committee. This enabled me corporate contact and departmental collaborations with the sciences and other arts programs such as, Music, Architecture, Theatre, Film and Conceptual Studies. I fundraised 2 labs- 10 stations each cross-platform, dedicated for Web and Video through Intel together with the Computer Science department. Through an Innovative Teaching Award, I set up an arts performance web TV broadcasting lab in a cave environment in the Theory Center consisting of two communicating studios- 1 chroma key performance studio and 1 Cave/vrml environment in stereo available for viewing around the world. My student development both graduate and undergraduate is available for viewing. http://www.critical-mas.tv/AMO.html - a portal for young curator media/makers now offered to collaborating universities around the world.
