Interest: Darko Fritz is a multimedia artist, curator, researcher and graphic designer. His work filling the gap between contemporary art practices and media art culture. Darko Fritz’s practice spans media. He uses architecture, organic materials, public transportation systems, communications systems [TV, radio, newspapers, the internet, fax] as well as traditional art forms, such as printing, photography and video to investigate mobility and, life in the digital age. He often works collaboratively, taking on the, role of publisher, designer, and curator as part of his efforts to, investigate the use of technology (and what he calls ‘reproductive media’) within culture. Darko Fritz has researched, lectured and written on early computer art [of the 1960’s].

Bio: Darko Fritz was born in 1966, in Croatia, and currently, he lives and works in Amsterdam and Zagreb. He is a media artist, curator and graphic designer.

Fritz was a founding member of the artist collectives Cathedral (1988), The Imitation of Life Studio (1987 - 1990), Young Croatian Electronic Films (1991) and The Future State of Balkania (1998). He participate within the networks of new media culture [Syndicate, Spectre, Mama, CultureNet]. He is member of artists ssociations and societies: Arti et Amicitiae, HDLU, ULUPUH, VVK, HZSU.
