Student loans

The University of Plymouth is currently being re-certified  by the US Department of Education as a foreign school. Once the foreign school code is in place students will be able to apply for Private Student Loans through Sallie Mae International. We strongly encourage accepted applicants to seek out both loan and grant funding as soon as possible - financial aid can often be a lengthy process.

For information on Canadian Federal Student Loans go to: http://www.canlearn.ca

Transart Scholarships and Assistantships

The MFA Admissions Committee is authorized to award scholarships of up to 25% (up to 50% for citizens and residents of developing countries.)  There is no separate application to be considered for a scholarship, however financial information may be requested by the Admissions Committee during the award process.

There are no scholarships for the Certificate program.

Limited Assistantships are available through enrollment in the PhD program. These Assistantships cover a small portion of the tuition and will be discussed individually with applicants.

Please note that Transart does not offer full scholarships. Additional financing is generally available through sources in the student’s country of residence and/or citizenship. Funding letters are mailed with acceptance into the program.  The early admissions deadline gives applicants extra time to apply for external funding.

Transart students may be eligible for the following awards:

Transart Institute MFA Merit Scholarships for four semesters (10% tuition reduction)

Transart Institute MFA Achievement Scholarships for four semesters (25% tuition reduction)

Transart Institute MFA Developing Country Scholarships for four semesters (25-50% tuition reduction)
